I Ihave a pacemaker implanted 2002, 2 years ago it started shocking me, i still have this pacemaker shocking meand they are not going to remove it, and put in a new one…I have a defribulator right side on recall shocking me as well.
these devices were pit in im milwaukee wisconsin..and the pacemaker doctor knowthere shocking me… but refusing to help me..mycardiologist had a doctor shut off defribulator, its on recall so the doctors are doing what medtronic wants to leave devices alone…
I have no chance to get these removed while I am alive.
I am not sure I want to live any more as I can not stand more pain……….I am 76 and have had enough and spent thousand of dollars
If the any body that can help me please do………… betty

Yes, please make Medtronic responsible my father died from this device on 11/22/08, when it went off and throw him from a ladder and killed him. He was my life and our lives haven’t been the same since. You put in a device to help them, then they find out later it’s no good and dangerous and can’t be taken out – doesn’t take a rocket scientists to know that Medtronic should be liable.

I think in order for these death rates to go down, these big medical device companies need to be held liable for the problems they are causing not only to these people but their families also. It can not be that hard to do a good quality check and ensure all devices are working properly, so they are not causing people more health problems or killing them.
It is time for the government to put their foot down pass this bill so these companies can be held liable for their mistakes. Vote Yes, to pass this fabulous bill!
